Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

1. The service

Minty is a marketplace and portfolio tracker for Pokémon Trading Card Game cards. Minty provides the platform only: the purchase agreement for any card is concluded directly between the buyer and the seller. Minty is not a party to that agreement and does not become the owner of the cards sold.

Disclaimer: Minty is an independent marketplace and portfolio tracker. This application is not produced, endorsed, supported, or affiliated with Nintendo, Creatures, Game Freak, or The Pokémon Company. All Pokémon card images, names, and text displayed in this app are property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes under Fair Use guidelines.

2. Accounts and beta access

During the private beta an invitation code is required to register. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to buy, sell or bid.

3. Selling

  • Listings must be accurate. Counterfeit, proxy or altered cards presented as genuine are strictly forbidden.
  • Listings of €20 or more require a verified photo of the card front through the Minty AI Scanner. Graded slabs also require a photo of the back.
  • The AI condition suggestion is indicative only; the seller remains responsible for the stated condition.
  • After a sale the seller must ship within 7 calendar days with the selected shipping method and add tracking where applicable. If the seller has not shipped by then, the buyer can cancel the order and is refunded in full; the card returns to the marketplace.

4. Payments, escrow and commission

Buyer payments are captured at checkout and held until the buyer confirms receipt (release). If the buyer does not confirm, the order auto-completes and the funds are released to the seller 14 calendar days after the shipping date. An open report in the Dispute Center pauses the automatic release until Minty support closes the case. Minty charges a commission of 5% per completed sale, reduced to 4% for Pro and 3.5% for Elite members. Seller payouts are settled to the seller wallet after release.

4b. Reports and disputes

Buyers and sellers can open a report from Help & Disputes for a card that never arrived, arrived damaged, does not match the described condition, or is the wrong card. Minty support reviews the report and can release the payment to the seller or refund the buyer. Reports must be opened before the order is completed where possible.

5. Auctions

  • Every bid is binding and irrevocable. By placing a bid you make a firm offer to buy the card at that amount and you cannot withdraw it.
  • The sale is concluded automatically between the seller and the highest bidder the moment the auction clock ends, provided any reserve price has been met. If the reserve is not reached, the card is not sold.
  • Automatic bidding raises your bid in fixed steps up to the maximum you entered, never higher.
  • Anti-sniping: a bid placed in the closing minutes extends the auction, so every bidder gets a fair chance to respond.
  • Shill bidding is strictly forbidden. A seller may not bid on their own lot, directly or through a second account, family, friends or any other person, and may not otherwise inflate the price artificially.
  • The winner must pay within 48 hours. Failing to pay voids the claim to the card, allows the seller to relist it, and results in a strike on the account; repeated non-payment leads to suspension.
  • A seller may not cancel a running auction to avoid selling, except where a listing turns out to be inaccurate or the card is no longer available; abuse may lead to suspension.
  • Lot auctions bundle several cards or a full set in one auction. The description and photos of the lot determine what is sold.

5b. Beta: direct payment between members

While the auction beta switch for direct payment is active, the auction winner pays the seller directly (for example by bank transfer, Payconiq or Tikkie) outside the Minty platform. For those transactions Minty acts purely as a communication and listing platform: there is no escrow, no captured payment, no buyer protection, no dispute handling and no Minty shipping label. Buyer and seller agree payment, shipping and tracking between themselves and bear the risk themselves. As soon as the switch is turned off, auctions again follow the normal Minty flow with escrow, commission, wallet payouts and shipping labels.

6. Subscriptions, scan credits and right of withdrawal

  • Pro and Elite plans unlock higher limits and extra tools. Scan credits are consumed per AI scan and are refunded when a scanned card is published. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; you can cancel at any time via the Plans page.
  • Subscriptions and scan packs are digital services delivered immediately. By completing the purchase you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once the service has been delivered.
  • Cards bought from another private member are sold consumer-to-consumer. The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to such purchases, because the seller is not a trader.
  • Where a seller sells in a professional capacity (company name and VAT number), the buyer keeps the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal and the legal conformity guarantee towards that seller.

7. Illegal content, moderation and ranking

  • You can report an illegal, counterfeit or infringing listing at any time through Help & Disputes or support@minty.cards. We review every report and remove content that breaches these terms or the law.
  • If we remove a listing, restrict a feature or suspend an account, we state the reason and you can contest the decision by replying to that notice.
  • Search results, set catalogues and the Shopping Wizard are ranked on objective criteria: total price including shipping, price relative to the market trend, seller reputation and shipping speed. Nobody can pay for a higher position.
  • Displayed market and trend prices are indicative, come from public market data and real completed sales, and may differ from actual sale prices.

8. Liability

Minty is not liable for the condition, authenticity or delivery of cards traded between users, nor for market-price information, which is indicative and may differ from actual sale prices. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Privacy & Data. Minty may suspend accounts that violate these terms, in particular in cases of fraud, counterfeit trading or shill bidding.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Consumers keep the protection granted by the mandatory provisions of their country of residence.
